Umoja Primary School serves 525 pupils (251 girls, 274 boys)

Our Impact

  • 12 girls’ toilets with a menstrual room and incinerator.
  • 4 boys’ toilets with 1 Urinal with a capacity to accommodate up to 30 students at a time.
  • Kitchen and dining facilities completed.
  • A school garden established with 10 water tanks, a 400,000-litre pond, and an irrigation system to support year-round fruit and vegetable production and harvesting
  • 68 girls were provided with reusable pads and received MHM training
  • 8 classrooms renovated; furnished with desks, shelves, and learning materials.

Muungano Primary School

Muungano Primary is a public school serving 483 pupils (226 girls and 257 boys)

Our Impact

Through our targeted programs, we have initiated a profound, life-changing transformation, focusing on program areas:

  • Installed 15 Rainwater Harvesting Tanks, securing a reliable, on-site source of clean water.
  • Implemented a School Water Sanitation and Hygiene (SWASH) which included construction of 1 handwashing station with 14 taps.
  • 145 girls were provided with reusable pads and received MHM training
  • Constructed 11 girls’ toilets, 2 boys toilets with 1 urinal and 1 inclusive toilet.
  • Renovated 9 classrooms and fully equipped them with new desks, shelving, and books.

Our Impact

  • Constructed an inclusive toilet with 10 girls’ cubicles and 5 boys’ cubicles,1 urinal and a space for persons with disabilities.
  • MHM training was conducted.
  • 41 girls were provided with reusable pads and received MHM training
